You know Khaos every time I see the suns rays so defined, I can't help but have the word "GLORY" come to mind ....... one thing I don't get to see much of is Sunrises and Sunsets, this is bound to change during my visit to America in the next few weeks :D

Thank you for reminding me what I'm missing out on ....... Skippy (Australia)

Hey K - nice rays. Did you use a different WB setting between the two shots? The colors are drastically different. I have to say I prefer the blue.

    Thanks Phil.

The first one was taken with a different lens and I had a polarizer on it. I also deepened it a little using selective color in photoshop.

I always let the 20D autoset the WB and I adjust later post processing if needed.

    AJ,

Thanks. I was trying for that effect. It ain't easy because I tend to be tempted to expose to get everything as well lit as possible.:D

    Maxine,

Thanks. There's no sunsets and rises in Austraila? I take it you're far inland and it's flat? Over here in the states, it really matters a lot where you are. I live in a hilly area and near the great lakes, so i can some decent ones. I'm going to try to get some good ones in the Caribbean this August.

Being near water is always good for sun shots.
