I like the close crops of the first two. The last one is pleasing also, probably because of the darker background. These work well because (as crazy7photography noted) the eyes and focus are well-captured.
Had a quiet weekend so went to the skate park to check out the local talent.

ooh, these are cool. Though the white shoes seem kind of girly for a guy with tattoos... I like the pile of unused helmets in this last picture.
Do you ask the guys if it's ok to take pictures so that the clicking and pointing won't distract them? or is it just a regular thing that people show up to take pictures randomly at skate parks? I've never been, as I always thought skating was better seen on video. But these look nice.

As a matter of fact they were filming too
I just took a few pictures of them and then showed them to the skaters and when they approved I started to tell them what I wanted them to do and where to do it so I can get good pics. I then gave them a card to the website and told them they could buy the pics there. They were very pleasant.
I also caught a couple of skateboarders but have not worked on them yet. Below is one.
