We only get a few weeks winter a year & believe me we are smack bang in the middle of it. I dont know how they do it for hours on end.

These were all with my 400mm. Not as easy as i thought it would be thats for sure. With high winds the lens actually acts like a sail & i had to brace it against a tree !

This guy just took off under wind power alone !

Had to keep back of the bays edge as the sand blast was huge from the wind & i didnt want it on my lens.

Great series Gus. I especially like the one with the city skyline in the backround.

Hi Gus, we see a few Wind Surfers down this way too, but gawwd it's so wind and cold when they do that Sport, same as those ones that use those little Paracute to Wind Surf with........amazing acrobats aren't they, must be a great thrill for them to fly with the wind like that.

    Great Series Gus.......... Skippy (Australia)

Thanks skip/ed...yep it was cold/rough & i couldnt do it. If it wasnt for the sand blasting i could have got closer but sand is our enemy.

I was trying to pick out the skyline in your shots...Where is it? Nice shots though and I can understand the protecting the lens statement in the current weather we're having.
