And I am NOT GRUMPY, _()@$*($#$&*(#%&* IT ALL TO HELL!!!
Ask Sara, Rutt, or Virginia...
Seriously - this grumpy thing underscores the biggest problem with email, texting, and on-line communities - we don't see body language, hear tone of voice, see facial expressions, or get any of the other cues that help us interpret language.
I do say what I'm thinking, and I can be a tad sarcastic... ...But if I was as mean and grumpy as people seem to think I am I wouldn't be here...why would I? (On the other hand, my saying that I love everything, that everything posted is terrific, wouldn't be doing anyone any good )
I seriously doubt that either of the two of you could capture as lovely a composition of my grumpy mug as you've done of each other. (I was just told today that I don't smile enough in the office. I'm not grumpy, I just have a very small mouth and things might crack.)
I can now see you, you happy man, B. D. (thanks Rutt). And Rutt, stop looking at me side-long like that!
It's you and your conversion loses flesh details and makes you look a little younger.
2. is a fine reason to like it better. You could do a surface blur to get a similar effect. But I thought we weren't doing glamor shots here.
Anyway, this is kind of an inside joke. B.D. and I were sitting on my couch and I was giving him a PS lesson in channel blending (the red is the enemy of facial features.) And we were playing with my new toy.
I don't love my double chin in this one, but I have to admit it looks like me:
You can see how shallow that DOF is at f/1.7. Won't get that in any other camera this small, I bet.
