I took a lot more pictures this past weekend on a trip to the NC mountains, but I really liked how this one came out. I'll probably actually do a post to journeys once I make it through all of my post-processing:

    Excellent! That's one of the better images I've seen of Lower Catawba. I look forward to seeing what else you got on your trip. It's been a strange fall color season up here - some areas past peak while others are still green.

    Thanks for the comments Rich! That means quite a bit coming from you. I'll let you know when I've got the other images up and ready to go.

    My wife and I used the directions from your site to get to Catawba Falls -- they were eerily accurate as the black lab ran up to meet us almost the moment we started on the trail. The directions could almost read "follow black lab to base of falls". :D
