Walk on the beach

I recently took some time out from the city life and went to a seaside town. While taking a walk along the beach and the rocks one evening I got this shot looking back at the town.

I tried a HDR shot but as soon as the rocks become lighter in front it takes away from that wide-open feeling. I had to increase the contrast and blue saturation to get that effect in the sky.

Any comments are welcome.

    Very nice. I doubt that HDR would had improved the image. Actually, I find the contrast of the rocks in the foreground a pleaseant element of it.
