These were taken at the mouth of the Tahquamenon river at Whitefish bay in the U.P. a couple of weeks ago.
All shot with a D90, 18-200 VR using 3 exposure blends. First 2 are sunrise and the 3rd is sunset
Edit: - I did use a 2 stop hard grad (might've been 3) in the first two pics

This was about 10 minutes later.

The freaky looking "doughnut" cloud is courtesy of lake effect- we got 2 inches of snow overnight. You can see the encroaching storm clouds. Crazy weather.
