Just returned from a marathon photoshoot with Gary Crabbe, Jim Goldstein and Rebecca Jackrel. Covered Las Vegas (1 day), Death Valley (3 days), Yosemite (2 hours), and San Francisco (1 day). Going through the 3000 frames will take awhile but I hope to post some images soon.

How many photographers does it take to photograph tea kettle junction?

If you're not familiar with their work, they are wonderfully talented photographers. Links to their sites here:

Maybe they should start hanging old digicams off the sign instead... :D

I'll be at that spot 12 days from now if anyone wants to donate a camera for me to take along.

Sounds like a great trip, Chris. I'll be looking forward to seeing your shots, especially the 2 hours in Yosemite. That must have been a real tease.

BTW, the link to Jim Goldstein's gallery doesn't work. That dude has the same initials as me.

Wow-- not as many kettles as when I was there two years ago. Wonder what the Park Service does with them?

I'm surprised to see so many tripods though-- looks like mid-day. Even shooting at sunrise @ ISO 100, I was able to grab a shot at 1/40 second.

Link fixed. I asked the same thing about using tripods at noon in the desert- I was told it was necessary for "uber-sharp" photos!

Right, especially for such a critical subject. rolleyes1.gif
