    I think the bills are too long for a Spotted Sandpiper, more like Dowitchers.

    Also Spotted Sandpipers don't usually hang out in large groups like that!

    There was a mingling of the two there.
    Could've sworn they're spotted sandpipers by their eating habits, but now that I looked again, you're right. Those bills are a little long. Thanks for the heads up :-).

    Great shots of a great place! Reifels Bird Sanctuary in Delta, BC, is home to many different migratory and resident birds. And EP is right, when thousands of snow geese take off or land it is quite a sight!

    Not sure if it's still there but there was a pygmy owl that lived in a holly tree that was just beautiful.
