slip in among the cottonwood trees
the sound of crackle and clatter
from the bright leaves
from the bright leaves
and that is all that seems to matter
in a swirling autumn breeze

Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap but memories are priceless.

Nice seeing fall colors in the desert. I think the first one is my favorite but I do like the rock in the second because it reminds me that it is still desert. Your title is fitting; it made me smile!

    Thank you Mahesh and Eia.

The first two seem to have almost the same basic composition to me. It's really wierd. I like the second because it goes more with my verse with a couple little modifications.

to sit among the cottonwood trees
and hear the crackle and clatter
    from the bright leaves
    from the bright leaves
and that is all that seems to matter
    in a swirling autumn breeze

The first I had framed a bit looser. But when I got home it seemed to have a tilt of about 2 degrees and I cropped in a bit tight. I'll back away for a few days and take another look at the original and see what I think. I like it because even though it has the same compositional flow, it has an extra swing to the right at the top.

I have fun with it either way. This was a nice place to hideout for an hour during a somewhat hectic day.

The third one was an experiment with photomatix exposure blending. The light was very harsh during all three and I've been working on ways to deal with shooting under these conditions.
