Not logging stats in traditional view

Hi all,
Has anyone else noticed that the statistics feature on smugmug doesn't work when you're using the "traditional" style to view your galleries. There's no problem in smugmug view, but in traditional style the viewing of images doesn't score a hit - regardless of what size you view at.
I alerted the friendly guys and gals at smugmug about this a little while back, but I don't think anything has changed.
Anyone else notice this issue on their account? I assume it's a site wide issue, and not just me!
While I've got your attention, what's style do you display your gallery in and, if you leave it as "viewer controlled" what's your default?
