Nice shot mate, gotta love the b&w.
she is very trustworthy and kind and a dear person. I tell her she's ugly. I took the photo in my living room (on one foot, just broke the other one) with the light coming in from my french windows on the right side of her face. I used a speed lite and then extracted her and made a new background. This is the color version.

Good Luck, Lynn. Is it, the surgery, over with now, or is it scheduled for Thursday?
Don't break a leg, if you can help it! You are a photographer (wannabee), not an actress.
I like your shot of your business friend. I like the color better, but that is subjective. I am interested in how you got your background. I can imagine that you isolated her with one of those marching ants things, then I could look up how to extract someone (I got two new (half price) books for photoshop 7 (the WOW book and the one by Scott Kelby), but I wouldn't know where to get the background.
Maybe you could give tutorials in your spare time for the next three months.
Good gosh, how did you manage to do such a good job of banging yourself up.
You may be a wannabee photographer, but you sure are a pro in the destruction business, especially of bones.
Too bad we don't have any assignments right now. If we did you could photograph all your proceedures and stuff with an eye for our assignment.
Maybe I could just go look at the voting for the challenge topic. It should start tomorrow. I am a bit tired of frantically running around and taking pictures. Kind of wish the title had been something like, "your world in the nearest five feet".
Good luck again.

re my friends back ground..this was the original background .. In ps cs I went to "filters" "extract" and extracted her. I made my new back ground by using a gradient of greys and then using the sponge filter in artistic to make the blotches. I think I may have added a little extry lighting but I'm not sure... too many doses of demerol yesterday. If this helps let me know, if not I'll explain more with screen shots.
thanks again for you kind words.

A couple more from today...
The printed version -i made this with my analog SRL- is sharp but a little bit grainy (I think you call it that?) But the scan made it a bit blurry, you're right.
I want to leave that quote there. I like that shot, too. Lynn, I am laughing, how are your meds, maybe I should go take mine. The shot doesn't look blurry to me, but then I may be missing something, ginger Oh, you all, I have been using that WOW book a bit, that is one good book. And I am just proud to be able to read parts of it, thanks to you all.
Here's another one from there (but not B&W though..)
