I read through some threads last night about Google Adwords and decided to give it a try. I'd like to get some opinions from you guys to see if I'm going about this right. Here is how I have it set up...
CPC: $.50
Budget: $1.00 per day
I'm using all "phrase matches", so they have to type in exactly what I have in the keywords. Some examples of my keywords are...
Las cruces wedding photography
Las cruces wedding photographer
Las cruces photographer
Las cruces photography
I have added many of the smaller towns I shoot weddings in as well - replacing Las Cruces with the other city names. I Googled a few of these searches and I saw my ad on all of them, so I thought it was working like I planned, but when I go into my campaign, it shows 0 impressions for all of the keywords. Why is this? I thought an impression was when the ad was shown?
I'd love to hear some opinions on how I can market myself better in this way. Thanks!:thumb
Oh yea... I shoot weddings more than anything, but I do families and seniors from time to time as well.

PS as a side note. google adwords can make your broke if not used correctly.
You can have competitors clicking on your links... plus there are sooo many window shoppers out there.. its just nuts!...
Good luck with it..

From what I have read, the Title does not affect the search of the listing. The search only looks at the keywords you put in. Also, the name has to be somewhat short, only 4 more characters than I am using now.
The number of impressions is now up to 8,762, so it's definitely showing up.
I have 0 clicks, so I'm pretty sure that impressions and clicks are not the same thing. You can set a limit to how much you want to spend per day (it's really per month, but based on a daily rate), so I can't lose too much money. Thanks for the help, guys.
Can anyone else chime in on this?

Not true. The title element (tag) <title></title> is the most important thing. That's what is what appears on search engines in bold, on the top line. The title should be around 70 characters long.

For example.
I get about 10,000 impressions per month. I only allow a budget of 2 clicks per day though, since here the average cost is about 1.20 per click which is retarded! I haven decided if I will continue this or not. I haven't gotten any business this way yet I don't think.
My ad has only been running about a week and I already have 11,101 impressions. Am I doing something wrong? I got two clicks this weekend thought

Nope, that makes sense. What that means is your add has appeared 11,101 times. Two people have clicked your add and you have been charged twice.
I get much less because I put in very specific search words. I only want my add showing up on your screen if you type 1 of four very specific terms. This way, I stand a greater chance of hitting my target audience. The cost of each click is too much for me to waste it on someone that isn't looking for my type of service, in my service area.
