You've got some very cool shots here.

It would be great if the series was numbered. But I am loving the colors in all of these. Also very nice action especially like 4, 5, and 7 ( I think).

Was that an early hit or just great defense in #4?

Andy, sorry about the numbers I always forget!
It was AWESOME defense, hit him as the ball got there, ball is going away from the receiver.
    Thanks for the comments!

    Apeture Priority?
Great shots. I am taking many photos of Michigan State Univ (MSU) football games. Unfortunately, I am not on the sidelines, so it makes it a little more difficult.

I went to your website and looked at the Info on a number of the above photos and I saw that you are apparently using Aperture Priority. I have been thinking that Shutter Priorty would be the more likely setting for sports photography. What are you thoughts on this?

I appreciate any comments as I am relatively new to sports photography.

Thanks Phil, I usually shoot in Manual, but that day we went from Clouds to sudden sun, so I chose to use Ap Priority, for a constant exposure. I was actually over exposing about 3/4 to 1 stop, When the sun came out for extended times, I would dial it back down a bit. I would rather have the Unis a bit blown out and have good light on the faces ect. If you ever get on the sidelines you will love it. I shoot from both the sidelines and the press box about 200 yards away and who knows how high up ( Im out on a ledge where most the TV cameras are at). We have 2 credentials, 1 for the field and 1 for the press box.

    Chuck, much appreciated!
    I use a Canon MkIIN and a Canon 300 f/2.8, if I'm in the press box I use a 1.4 extender on my 300, I also use a Canon 50D with a 70-200 f/2.8

BTW, the Julio Jones photo #1, The next frame he has his leg extended out fully and is nearly over his head as hes going into the end zone. Maybe I should have posted that instead :D
