Shot these about 2PM. Simply put the light between me and the sun.

Can't say that I really like these, but something nags at me that I do :dunno

I think it is very clever, and probably why you like it, but it really just looks like a picture of a light, which isn't wildly interesting on its own. First one has a lot of banding in the sky in case you want to add some noise to clean it up.

Yeah, I agree & why I posted that I'm not real sure about em'. I'm probably gonna' keep em' for some kind of bg on another image later ne_nau.gif

I saw what looks like banding, but I don't think that's what it is here. I didn't do any post on the shot. I think it's just a strange form of lens flare. Shot at ISO 50 on 5D2.

I dunno. I kinda like number one. It looks like it would make a cool book cover or something. ne_nau.gif

I love the idea of using the sun as a light source to light a lamp.

    Fantastic !!!

See, if they'd just consult me, we could end this energy crises rolleyes1.gif

    Seriously though, thanks...

Really nice use of the sun as a backlight Randy. Great exposure!

That first one is excellent! I like the quality of light (all puns always intended) that is highlighted in the glass. Seems like you just nailed the PP!

I didn't do any PP on this image. That's another reason I'm purchasing a new copy of the 85 f/1.2L. This lens does things that my others don't.

    Thanks for looking Rainbow.
