first image from a brilliant day in Zion NP!

This hike seriously kicked my tail, I packed too much stuff and I've had too many cheeseburgers this past year...

C&C highly encouraged, please notify me of any issues.

Listen very closely cause i see a huge flaw with the way this picture was taken....I was not there:D

All seriousness, I absolutely love the pattern of the cloud reflection in the stream. Great jobclap.gif

I told you to go light on the gear buddy!

I like the shot, I would like it even more had you got in the water and removed some of those elements in the foreground which are a little distracting :D Some great clouds, looking forward to seeing the rest of the series!

He did drop one of his tripod feet in the water, does that count?

Awesome image, Aaron! I haven't even looked at my landscape orientations of this scene yet. I'd say it works quite well. thumb.gif

    Cheers,

Nope! Half of the fun of Zion is splashing around in the water and getting your boots wet!

No worries! Some of us got a lot more than just our boots wet...

Well, I say that cheeseburgers are just way too good to be the root of the problem. Perhaps the issue lies in not eating enough of them in the past year... Maybe a test is in order, next time you hike the Subway, try having a couple cheeseburgers first. They should give ya the energy to zoom right on through!
    (Disclaimer: I am not a doctor! :D )

As for the image, it looks great! Nice work, once again! clap.gif

Man those are some crazy skies you guys got. Very nice Aaron. Looking forward to seeing more.

By the way, how did you guys protect your equipment in the water?

:D everyone thank you.... I will let you know next time I can make this trip... Im thinking spring.

Dan, we did the route from the south which doesn't require getting wet...(not counting sweat)

now go ahead and ask Bill how he got soaked.....rolleyes1.gif

Great shot, Aaron. As others have said, the clouds and comp really draw you in. I'm wondering if lightening the front faces of the foreground rocks on either side of the stream would help lead the eye to explore the sides instead of straight up the middle.

Great, Aaron! And after a hike like that I think you earned at least one cheeseburger. thumb.gif
