ISO * canon rebel xsi

Okay.. this might be a stupid question.. but what the hey..
I was reading a blog about shoot sports with a canon xsi..
mostly same info as here, but he stated this:

sure your custom function for ISO noise reduction is disabled.

now.. I have no idea how do to that.. any help will be fantastic

    I don't have an XSi in front of me at the moment, but if you look at the menu, probably the right-most or second-right-most menu will be labeled "Custom Functions" and will contain a few different categories that you can navigate into, each category containing a number of options you can customize. Somewhere in there you will find an option for "High ISO Noise Reduction" with choices "Enabled" and "Disabled". It's probably set to "Enabled" by default, and they want you to disable it.

    Really, though, once you figure out how to turn this option on and off, you should probably experiment with using it both ways to see which you prefer.
