Frame it!

This is another of the Holiday pics. The bad part is that where she was sitting was beneath a tree so you can see some shady and some sunny parts on her face, does this distract from the actualy picture? Any thoughts or suggestions? Is there a way to fix this, besides not sitting under a tree, would a reflector work, or is it just a bad place to do it?

Also I know her hair is a little wacky, I am going to photoshop that as soon as the mother chooses a picture.

    You could move her into the complete shady side but I think it would still need help.

    Yup, a reflecto woulda helped in opening up the shadows. So could a fill flash.
