Taken yesterday on a walk to the duckpond... D70 with 70-300 (in macro mode), f11, 1/125sec, A mode, handheld.

    Those little damsels are so fine aren't they, and come in the most magnificent colors....... your lens did very well with this shot......well done.

    What leaf is it on-looks a bit like a grape vine?

    nice shot MD hey you said you set the camera in macro ne_nau.gif right and what 70/300 did you use headscratch.gif as you can see i have bin playing with these and the dargons so i was thinking more info more playing :D

    Thanks Brian, I'd like to say I took my time with the comp, but really it happened so fast I was just trying to get one that wasn't oof'd... lol

    About the leaf yeah it was definately some type of vinening plant with berries/grapes, but haven't a clue what kind. It was wild though.

    Jeff it's the Tamron 70-300, and it has a switch on the side of it for macro. When you swtich it on it locks it in the 180-300 range. It's sometimes tough though, I'm usually about 3ft from the subject which is not always ideal. Oh well, when I bought it my intention was to use it as a practice lens, which I'm still doing.     thanks AJ the lens is still very sharp thumb.gif i have bin working with that 300 nikon still would like a good close up lens but ne_nau.gifheadscratch.gif
