Every other Sunday from June till August my little town offers a free concert in the park. This has been going on for about 15 years and since I just got my new lens I thought I would go and try it out. This time around was Tom Rigney accompanied by the Flambeaus. This is my first time shooting people so comments and critique are appreciated.

Unfortunately the stage was back lit by the sun so it made it a little difficult but whadda ya gonna do:dunno

I'm don't have the best eye but I think they are all pretty good. They all seem to be very sharp and the colors are bright but still realistic looking. The two of the bassist look like the background may have been blurred in PS, or it may be from the bright backlighting. In the last picture of the bassist the background is slightly distracting because the left side is soo bright. I'm being very critical here but these are way better than anything I could have done. Overall I think they are very nice shots.

Our freebie concerts are just getting underweigh. Nice event on a
    weekday evening.

Overall, a nice set of pics. As you suggest, a tighter crop would be
    nice.
