Here are 3 flies from the back garden today, which after playing around with the original grabs, thouyght I'd make into a triptych.

    Wonderful series - was the last one fairly small ?- looks like a scuttle fly (Phoridae)

    Yes, the last one was the smallest by a long chalk. That one was sat on top of the compost bin lid, the other two were around the wheelie bin and the fence beyond it.
