Got a transmitter and receiver today, and was disappointed at first when I got a range of about a foot. But it turned out it was the batteries that were at fault - A new set of AAAs later, I'm incredibly impressed.
The trigger and receiver cost £20, and its about an extra £10 for another receiver. I ordered them yesterday lunch, and they arrived this morning, so thumbs up on the delivery speed front. And Once the batteries were changed, the reliability is astounding for the price.
The flash has fired without fail every time I've clicked the shutter. It says the range is 20m if unobstructed, but I fired it from over 20m through no less than 3 walls, and the flash still fired. All 5 times I tried. I was expecting intermittent performance at best, so I am very very pleased - Looking forward to some off-camera flash work.
