How can I change google description? (snippet?)

Recently I changed my site and now the description when googled is mostly html. Eg: var ssConfig = { AlbumID: '9946423', newWindow: 'false', transparent: 'true
I realize it's duplicating what is in the description on my home page, now my Bio page, so I would like to know if I can add text to the code that is there or is that going to mess it all up?

Go to flash slideshow help page at http://wiki.smugmug.net/display/SmugMug/Flash+Slideshow, scroll down the the GOTCHA, and follow the instructions there.

Go to the settings tab of your control panel and you'll see a spot for meta description now.

I just updated the description on my site and that was awesomely easy and amazingly stressfree!
