Hi,

Been to my cabin for two weeks which is at Rjukan, Norway. The cabin is at 1000 meters above sea level and far away from civilization. Anyway, my son and i went for a walk when we saw this raindeer from a far distance. We sat down and kept real still. Suddenly this raindeer came towards us and couldn't have been further away than 50 meters. We don't see raindeers that often so it was vey exciting for us. He picked up our scent and disappeared quickly. Too bad i only have 5x zoom on my camera :)

Pretty neat story and pictures. Thanks for sharing both.thumb.gif

Share a pic of your cabin and surroundings! Where in Norway is Rjukan?

There were some pics posted a few days ago of the Trollstigen pass. I want to take a trip in a few years to visit Sweden/Norway/ and specifically the Romsdal area in Norway.

I knew, of course, that trees and plants had roots, stems, bark, branches and foliage that reached up toward the light. But I was coming to realize that the real magician was light itself.

    Hi,

More and Romsdal county is beautiful! Geirangerfjord was recently added to the UNESCO list

    Rjukan is in Telemark county.

Here is a panorama view of the cabin and it's surroundings. The cabin is the little dot between the beach and the mountain. If you click the picture you will get a 2000x470 size view.
