I like the composition here and the color play. I'm not sure if the blown sky works as an offset to the blue water or not. The sharp water seems a bit unnatural, and I think that is what is throwing me here. Sorry.

Thanks for replying Andrew. This is actually my first attempt at a new processing technique that I'm working on. Thanks for your feedback.

Different and different can be good :D

I think if you cropped off some of the top blown out sky just above the cluster of clouds the eye might not pick up the "blow out" effect that much. When I moved it on my monitor my eye was then drawn to the blueness of the water. From there they went to the blue masts. I'm thinking that is where you wanted the eyes to go. If so it was a success :D If not...sorry about that :D

    Neat effect your working on.

    Hey Randy,

As you know, I'm all about experimenting & such, but I think Andrew has a point about the water. I think there's too much contrast in it. Might not look the same on smooth water though.

But, as always: If YOU'RE happy, I'm happy thumb.gif

    Hi Randy,

I like the monochromatic color scheme but the water looks way too crunchy. I would back off on the sharpening a lot.

Thanks Randy/Rich.....I'm going to reprocess it tonight to try a bit of a different process.
