I've started to port over Photoshop actions to Photoshop Elements 8.
The first is the TLR B&W Toning for Photoshop Elements. I also added a tip for running actions from PSE 8.

Just out of curiousity do you know how to add actions to PSE8 when you have Windows 7 starter?

I downloaded your actions. They look great by the way. But I only got an ATN file and a text file. It appears to need a .PNG file in order to work according to your link. I'd appreciate any suggestions you might have. THX!

Just curious . . . a tad off topic, sorry . . . is there a free upgrade from PSE 7 to 8? Or do I have to buy PSE 8? And are there any major differences between 7 & 8? Thanks.

Until Mitch replies, you probably should create your own custom "icon/button" to call the action...

EDIT: I don't use PSE, however it appears that in later versions there are two methods, the new action player does not require a PNG or PSD image to run, while the "effects panel" option does require an image file (I think!).
