Does Photoshop CS4 support the raw files produced by the new 7D? If not how is everyone processing them?

Thanks,
Dan

Yes it does as long as your up to date with Camera Raw.

Just keep in mind that the camera rendering might not be ideal yet. From an engineer posting on the Adobe forums:
the 7D support is very preliminary. We are often able to provide preliminary support for raw files from new camera models. Camera Raw and Lightroom will open and edit these files, but profiling and testing is not complete. It is likely that some processing aspects will change somewhat when we provide final, official support.

This is why you don't yet see the 7D on the list of officially supported cameras on their web site, even though the software will open them. If it works, though, then great!

Yes...I've noticed ACR having a little bit of odd behavior while editing these files...but it does work.

Just to be complete, it only supports full RAW. mRAW and sRAW are not supported yet - I've had to do highlight recovery in DPP before converting to jpg & finishing up in ACR/PS when using mRAW. Bummer! :cry

Or, of course, you can get the free dng converter - I haven't tried that yet.
