I have a brand-new carbon fiber Dynatran tripod. It comes with a nice padded case (box was tossed), and the tripod weighs 2lb 10oz (which is just around 1.2kg) and measures almost 5ft (1.47m) when the center shaft is extended. It has a level and a compass on the base, the build is nice, and the painted finish is very neat. It seems very sturdy given how light it is. There are cam locks for each leg that allows you to position the legs in one of 3 positions. The legs have the twist locks. I believe the weight capacity is around 11lbs. It is about 20" long when collapsed.

I am asking $120 - SOLD - shipped and paypaled in the US, $135 to Canada.

This goes back to a little history where FM's ownership decided to shake things up quite a bit, and people started to find other forums to join. It goes back maybe 2 years now, I think dgrin ended up with an infusion of alot of new members from the shakeup. I changed it since nobody probably remembers that now.

    Thanks!

Hmmm . . . I'm an FM member and not only do I not remember, I don't think I ever knew about "the shakeup". Unless you mean when Fred started charging subscription fees for posting classified ads.

In any case, this certainly looks like a fine travel-pod!

That was part of it, also then the rules were locked down even more tightly as to what you could list even though you had to pay, etc. There were many people that "defected" around to other forums swearing they would never frequent the boards. Alot has changed in 2 years! :)

Yes, this would be make a great travel pod, very light!
