Hi - my first attempt at using the reverse lens macro technique. I must admit it certainly requires some practise!

Photographed with Sony Cybershot DSC-S85 in macro mode (handheld) using an additional Pentax SMC 50mm f1.4 lens in reversed order. Adjusted resolution to 4.1 megapixel mode setting.

Mode: Aperture priority Aperture f8 Shutter speed 1/500
Hope to improve vastly on the technique!

Excellent shot for first try at that. Does make focusing difficult doesn't it.

Suggest you try dropping the shutter speed to say 1/200th and go for the smallest aperture you can to get better DOF.

Lookin' good Herman. I'm a sony lover too. Have not tried a reversed 50mm yet, but some day plan on it. I do have some close up filter lenses tho...they are hard to get the focal area right also. I know that little green guy is not a full grown one either, so thats pretty darn close up!
