    my favourites are 1, 2 and 3

the sensation of space in 1 is nice,
and of course the father looking at his youngest son who seem
more occupied with the lights in the ceiling than the whole religous thing.
"this is a place for spirituality and not for play, so pay attention"
so including the lamps in this shot was important in more than one way,
thats how i read this picture anyway

the colors work well in nr2, im happy you decided against b&w here.
i dont feel this shot has as much to tell me as the first one,
but i like it, and i think the colors (witch is nice btw) has a big part of making the shot.

the nr3 is nice, but i think it had potential to be more,
i actually think the pigeons could have worked as a really nice background.
they do that now, but i wanted much more of them.
was it possible to step back and get more of the left side?

the others are ok and nr6 has someting more.

    nice shots!

#1 hits the mark for me. It might be "just a shot" but there's a lot of interest in it for me; interaction, isolation, distraction, architecture. Nice. clap.gif

The others are Ok and I'm sure great for memories, but I would have preferred to have some more of the surrounding environment incorporated into the composition.

I said this in your equipment thread, but it bears repeating. Istanbul is a fantastic city and I would LOVE to go back there on a photography holiday.

4 and especially 6 for me. Maybe a lower camera angle would have been better for the other shots?
    If not now, when?

#1 Love this. The separation between the two groups, the one fellow still in prayer while the left side is sort of just looking around. The mundane vanilla clock in the left side. All work wonderfully.

#2 Nice shot. Doesn't really do much for me though.
    #3. That laugh... love it.
#4. A little more context might have been nice, but I get a good sense of her here. I like it a lot.
#5. I really like this moment. The short stools. The two guys to the left look like they are brothers, if not twins.
#6. Love this. I just wonder what he is pondering.

Thanks for all of the feedback. On # 4, which of these would you use? This woman was actually quite funny. You mention more context, she was very inept at effectively filling the seed trays and spilled constantly to the delight of the pigeons.

Even though you lose detail in her face, I think these latest ones are much better. I didn't notice the pigeons in #4 even though a few of them are there, but the story comes through in these. I prefer the first one because of the pigeons on the awning. Oh, and I also love #6. Well done.

I love all of these shots. But of the pigeon-lady, the one with the pigeons above her is the prize-winner, imo.

I'm w/ Sara on this. The one with pigeons all around.

Thanks for the suggestion. The one with more context IS better. I was trying to get more of her in the original. That's why I post, all of the folks here help me grow as a photographer...Thanks
