New Thumbnails view UI nit

When selecting between "Show thumbnails in a single page" and "Show many pages of thumbnails" you tick a box that immediately becomes an empty box with the new description. Why a checkbox and not just a link, like in "(most recent) • most popular"?

Not a huge deal, it's just that checkboxes are ugly and this is part of the visitor experience. Also it doesn't seem as intuitive as a link.

You make a good point. I believe the original intent was to make it feel like more of an option rather than a link that takes you to a different page. I'm open to whatever the majority thinks. If most agree with you, I'll go ahead and make the change.

I think i did something wrong, all I see since voting is the "Thank you for Voting..." message I see when voting in other people's polls. How do I view the current votes? :confused

It says I voted but I didn't!
I was trying to understand what the voting was voting for and went back and forth between pages and suddenly got the message that my vote had been taken, and thanks.... I didn't vote!

While we're waiting for help, could you explain what you mean by the choices? I finally saw how it is by default. What would it look like in your 2nd option? How would linking work? Does that mean the photo/video would not appear on the home page?

It only relates to the new Thumbnails view gallery style, not anything to do with the homepage. The option I'm proposing to the current checkbox to switch between pagination on/off, is the way you can now switch between "most recent" and "most popular" in a keyword gallery with links by the breadcrubs.

To explain a bit more of what I'm selling here I'll post a screengrab of a keyword gallery in the new Thumbnails view. I'm proposing we replace the checkbox by the bottom arrow with a link-style switcher like the one by the upper arrow.
