Bay Photo color correcting question

Got a question about Bay Photo and using their color correcting. I would assume that if I do my best at color correcting before submitting an image that they could only make it better. Would that be accurate? I have a client this weekend and I'm going to use Bay with correction turned on for the first time. Unfortunately have not had any time to try them myself first.

Yes. We'll only adjust images as-needed. It's individual, per photo, and by hand.

Yeah they've never fumbled the ball for me, they've always been spot on.

When I ordered some test prints to try them out, I sent in some photos that were off just to see how they would fix them. They did a good job.

While I haven't sold as much as I want to. I did visit / audit Bay Photo, and found both the facilities and personnel to be top notch.
I was able to see and watch their color correction people at work. They of course have calibrated monitors and are / were using LaCie CRT's.

They have an interesting device that has adjusting wheels that controls color.
The equipment they are using is different than you and I using Photoshop although we can get to the same point.

They are very proficient at this and it is done individually image by image.

I have color correction turned on as cheap insurance for skin tones.

When you get the images you may not see anything different than what's on your screen, but we don't know if they needed make any adjustments to get the print looking like that.
