Whitetail Bucks in The Rut!

The majestic North American whitetail deer mating season, simply coined "The Rut," is now in full swing here in the Texas hills.

Spent the entire week watching the action. Many of these bigger bucks are absolutely nocturnal till the urge hits them.

This is the classic "Bird Dog Profile" used when a buck has a doe in sight. They tail the doe closely, nose to the ground scenting her trail. This photo reminds me of a young teenager LOL!
