I was invited to do a shoot in this beautiful boutique hotel in Chinatown area of Bangkok. The place is called Shanghai Mansion. It is one of the most beautiful bourtique hotels here in Bangkok. In order to go with the settings in this hotel, we looked for a Chinese-looking girl to be our photo model and Ann was chosen among a list of selected names.

Shooting started in early afternoon and ended 7 hours later, with some regrets that we could not cover every location available. Will definitely go for a second shoot-out some time later, if there is a chance.

Equipment used:
  • Nikon D90
  • Tokina AT-X DX Pro 124 12-24mm f/4
  • AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.4G
  • Nikon Speedlight SB-900
  • Nikon Speedlight SB-600
Total: 18 images

Thank you for viewing my images. Special thanks for Ann for being our photo model and bearing all the difficult poses I asked her to do.

Beautiful series. Gorgeous model. Striking location. Keep up the excellent work.

Only complaint: I kept waiting to see an image up close and tight on her exquisite face. The surrounding environment is very interesting, so you probably felt compelled to put it on display, but I feel like it overpowers the model across the series. Wanted to get closer, at least once. ;)

Thanks for all the replies. I think I may have a shot or two a little bit closer on her face. Let me see if I can find it and post. These images were done almost 2 months back, so need to do a little searching. :p
