They srated painting the tops of the hydrants here blue, looked neat so I thought I would share :D

    Back in the '70's, the city of Belmont, CA issued kits to the citizenry to paint up the
    hydrants with a 1776 theme to them. A few still exist today.

    Imagine being a firefighter from a neighboring city looking round for a hydrant to
    hook up to...guess they have to go by the blue Botts dot on the street :)
