is the Le Tour de France (wish I were there right now)

and the world's best cycling photographer is Graham Watson. He posts daily photo updates during the tour. If you've never been to his site or seen his work, pay a quick (or longer) visit.

Even non-cycling folks can enjoy a good shot like this

I knew, of course, that trees and plants had roots, stems, bark, branches and foliage that reached up toward the light. But I was coming to realize that the real magician was light itself.

Thanks for the heads up John. I've been wanting to shoot a real bicycle race for some time now, but haven't managed to cross paths with one. The closest I've come is a local hill climb:

I like your car show pics... I'm the same way -- can't get enough of hood ornaments and other design details.

I look at the photos at cyclingnews.com. They get posted first and as soon as an hour or two after each stage you can check out a gallery of shots. But they are not my favorite shots. Many of them aren't edited very well and look like . . . well, snapshots. I also look at the shots at velo news, and eurosport, and oln.

But I still like Graham Watson' shots the best.

Certainly cyclingnews.com has the best tour info (and giro info, and vuelta info, and dauphne info etc, etc).
