Firefox header craziness

OK, this is total nonsense. I couldn't get my header working since my last post about it, so I just redid it, and put it up, checked it in IE, checked it in Firefox, it worked fine. Then I said "whoops, I forgot to center it" so I did <div align = "center"> (without the excess spaces of course) and then < / div > like I'm supposed to. This made the header have gaps in it when viewed in Firefox. So I thought no big, I'll just delete the centering stuff, and did so, only now in firefox it's not centered, but still has the gaps. What in the wide wide world of sports is going on here? I know JT the code is overly complex, but I mean, why should it work fine until I center it?
