Search Info for original filename?

Any way to search Photo Info data for an original uploaded filename? That would be so convenient when trying to locate a specific photo.

Well, Al, don't you just mean you want to see the original filename you uploaded here to SmugMug? Even if it's just a number? I'm not sure if we know what you mean exactly. If you say "yes" for that gallery under "should camera info. be visible?" within your tools/gallery settings button, you should be able to hover over the image & click on the "i" for info. and see your original fileaname, even if it's a number. All of my un-edited files still show the original camera number if I click there, such as DSC=1897 or P=109875 for example. Another way to see the file names is click on "arrange" or some other bulk tool, and then you can see all the filenames for the whole gallery at once. If you want to be able to search for it using a traditional search box, then you may be out of luck.

This page will show thumbs of all your photos with the original filename
below each. Search the page for the one you're looking for.
You could even save the page source and parse out the filenames in Excel.

If I want to locate uploaded filename DSC1223-001 in a specific large gallery (perhaps to download for PP and replacement), there is apparently no quick and easy way to do it other than the Timeline way. Too bad there is no owner Gallery Tool to simply "find filename". Another item for wishlist...
Another question: Can the uploaded filename be displayed under thumbs in Smugmug Style for .LoggedIn only? If so, FF Find can easily find a filename in thumbs.

Thanks, Allen. Yes, that works. But a little cumbersome and circuitous. Probably best way though at this point.

the filename number (1223 in your case) in Firefox and it jumps right to
it. That gives you the position of the photo in the gallery. How much
simpler you want it.
Edit: posted before seeing your last post.

different screen though. Might be a good thing for Smugmug to add so if
rotating only a few deep in the gallery you can find them using the photo
numbers.
