The sun just came up and the Roadrunner was enjoying the warmth.
Love it---it oozes warmth--The color is just beautiful. Given the chance I'd trade places with that bird right this second--til the sun goes down anyway.
Doesn't look anything like the Roadrunner chased by Wylie Coyote.

Hi Liz.....Little cold in NYC today??? Thanks for the really nice comment.... azzaro
Another one of your best! It is stunning! How did you get so close to him?
He has been hanging around for awhile and sometimes we walk passed each other with in 10 feet or so. I was probably with in 10 feet of him with I took the pic.. I used a 55x200 mm lens at 200.....Thanks for the comment..... azzaro
I have to agree with everyone else, that is one Fine Roadrunner Shot, love the beautiful light.
I had read one time that the Roadrunners have a dark patch on their backsir necks that they ruffle up to expose that spot to warm themselves up faster during the cold weather????

Man, that picture reminds me of what I see each morning when I look in the bathroom mirror…
…I wish I'd taken it!

Thanks again for the nice comments.....Im retired .... I get up in the morning walk pass the mirror and get a cup of coffee....At 70 there is no good time to look in a mirror.azzaro
Stunning! Brilliant! It truly is a wonderful shot, Azzaro--great lighting and a can't-miss pose. Right place, right time, right photographer!
OK, so I sorta like this one . . . just a little bit.
Hi Lauren...... Thanks for the really great comment...... You don't seem to be posting as much as you did......or are you posting someplace else????? azzaro
Hey Azzaro - glad to know I've been missed! I was out for 2 weeks with a bad back and couldn't shoot or sit at the computer. Now I'm better but I am trying to get other stuff under control so I can spend more time on my photos and get busy posting again.
I'll try to find something from the Shootout that hasn't been seen yet and get it up for your viewing pleasure.
Cheers,
Lauren

That's the best picture of a Roadrunner I've ever seen. It's also the only picture I've ever seen of one " puffed " up like that. Great job , buddy.
