Catching Up...Swimming and Football

I'm just catching up from a busy fall season. Many days were like this one: I started the day with a girl's swimming league championship meet and then went straight from the pool to a football game. I was at the pool for 4 hours and then the football field for another 2 1/2. So 6 1/2 hours of straight shooting and over 2000 pics to sort through. This seemed to happen a lot this fall (multiple events in the same day).

Settings for swimming: WB set using Expodisc. Camera/lens: D3 with 300/2.8. Manual settings with f/4, 1/500, ISO 5000 (NO flash)

At any rate here is some pics from the day. C&C always welcomed and encouraged.

1. Fisheye capture of the swimming venue.

2. A higher angle for the freestyle

3. The fly...always a cool event to shoot

4. Going tight. Too tight?

5. Another fly pic...checking out her competition in the next lane

6. Getting psyched up for a relay and hamming it up a bit for me-:)

Out to the field...

7. Get 'um high, get 'um low

8. Attempting to rip the QB's head off

9. Sack!

10. Ouch...QB had a rough day

11. Get off me!

12. Just missed the catch...or was it just missed the interception?
