The combination of Animoto and Smugmug just ROCKS! :clapI've tried a variety of other resources for hosting galleries...but this combination can't be beat! Animoto is such a valuable 'value added' service for my photography work and Smugmug's list of features is head above the rest! (Sound like I'm getting paid for an endorsement!) Each service on their own would be worth it....but when you combine the two.....amazing!:ivar

O.K. I'm done :-)

The only argument I have with Animnoto is that the commercial account doesn't include the 'oldies' music as choice. My audience are 'car folks'...you know how they like the 50's!:barb

Please click on the image to see how the combination is working....

All the best,

Bob

Awesome! Great to see an Animoto vid front and center on your website. We hope to be exporting hi-res vids in the future, so the output will be even crisper. PM if you want us to send you some Animoto stickers/swag, or fill this out:

Love Ur Website, Ditto on Classic Music
I love your website. You should come to Detroit in the summer for the 3 day Dream Cruise - August 10, 2010. It is amazing. More great cars on the road then anywhere in the world.

I concur about Animoto providing some older 50's music, although I love 60's even more.

AnimotoBecky follows this section of the forums, so hopefully she'll see this and ask around about it. Also you can suggest features (such as new music requests) here:

I am a little fuzzy on the Animoto/Smugmug merger thing. I am a Smugmuger and haven't seen any info or press release as to what this all entails. I have poked around here to find something 'official' but haven't found anything. Can someone provide some info or a link to what this means in terms of services for Smugmugers/Animoto users? deal.gif

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Phil,

You're talking to the right person, as I code music for the site. And specifically, choose all the commercially licensed tunes we provide. We're up to 500 + now, but I'll see about getting some Oldies music.

Quote "We hope to be exporting hi-res vids in the future, so the output will be even crisper."

If you render your videos on Animoto in High Resolution format (MP4), send it to Smugmug and embed from Smugmug DVD~I-Phone format you will end up with a larger screen and very sharp images.

You can check the video I did yesterday, I really like it's format. (sorry... it is not cars! I don't have one...)

I think it is a good solution till Animoto comes out with their own larger HR screen...

Let me know what you think of this process.

    Thanks and be well.

PS: actually I download the MP4 Animoto to my hard drive (videos) and then send it to Smugmug...
