    Lighting seems too directional giving you the flower shadows that are a bit distracting. Also, the color cast and contrast are a bit dull. Don't think the color of the flowers stands out sufficiently from the background.

    You may try using other light sources or a reflector for your flash to get a better fill of the scene. Also, seems like you are a bit too close to the flowers with a wide angle setting that is distorting the subject. Sometimes this can provide a nice effect but in this case it doesn't seem to help....

    Just my opinion...I'm an amateur so please take it with a grain of salt.
