Crash with large number of albums in FF/IE

I am having trouble moving my photos around between albums. IE and FF both crash! Is this common? This happens when I want to move files around within my SM environment only. If I display them, yes it takes a while, but it works fine. I have 480+ photos in one album.

The 'move to multiple galleries' somehow never completes and freezes my system. Everything else works which makes me think this is a bug??? Could someone confirm please?

Thanks

I have galleries with more than 3 times that number of photos without issue. I suspect this is a local browser issue. Are you sure you have enough memory available for the browser? Try closing other apps first. Try making sure you have enough available swap space for the OS. What browser and OS are you running? How much system memory do you have?

Yes it sounds strange so for the avoidance of doubt, I restarted my system, killed every application in memory that I would not need (4.8GB memory free, CPU 2%), opened the multi image mover page again, and... memory usage went up by ~400MB whilst CPU reached 70%. If I wouldn't know better, I'd say there's some kind of loop......? It doesn't have anything to do with the size of the images, does it? (~5MB Jpegs). Bizarre.

The "Move to Multiple Galleries" page does appear to be a bit of a memory/CPU hog and take a long time to come up. I have no issues with the "Move to Gallery" page.

Happy to let you try my page and give you details to login/connect. See if your browser stays alive? :tiptoe

I think you'd probably be better off working with someone from Smugmug on this. Even you did let me in and I saw the problem, I probably wouldn't be able to do anything to help.
