Alright so i am somewhat a beginner and i would appreciate some critique of the below photo. It was taken in southwest harbor in Maine over the summer. Thanks Zach

I like this photo - the subject, the overall shape of the boat, there's enough going on to catch my attention, and I like the BW.

Well, this photo? Maybe try to pull some of the shadows of the wheelhouse out. But otherwise, it is what it is. But if I were in a similar setting, I would probably have moved around 15 or 20 feet to the camera right so that the vessel's stern is receding.

alright thanks for your advice, but the problem with moving was i was on the end of another dock with very little room to move between boats and other obstructions.

Get much closer. The people are probably interesting, but we can't really see them at this distance.

also how would i go about lighten up the shadows in the wheelhouse, i can lighten them up on the entire picture but when i did that it didn't look as good
