My take? (I know you didn't ask... ) I keep all my old Nikon/Nikkor caps (this includes generic caps) and really don't want to sell because I never know when I'll need one. I would suggest hitting the bay and getting a handful of generic caps if you're also prone to loosing caps. I've found this is the cheapest way to replentish lost stock. JMPO... hope you understand.
