    Hey Michael,

Good to see you " at work " again. I like your treatment of this scene.

    Take care,

    Tom
I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

:D Thanks Tom. You know I appreciate the feedback. Its real good to be
working on photos again. This photo needed a treatment of some kind as
the original was a little iffy for exposure / color value. :D

Thanks Azzaro. :D Nice to know this work up stands up enough to be considered.
Agreed that different is good sometimes. This one may be decent enough to see printed.

I like how the orange and yellows blend so well together. Against the white sky it really pops thumb.gif

Glad you like the take Mary Kim. I was attracted to the same values you mention so I left the processing
as is. I seem to be leaning toward Orton like effects lately. :D

    Morning Michael,

Interesting shot, I really like the post processing, gives it a dream like quality.

This is an Orton -- I didn't even notice that thumb.gif

May I ask how you can get your background so nice and white?

Interesting image Michael. If you cropped out the last tree on the right the remaining truncks would make a sinister Romanesque "666" :D

Love it! At first glance, I thought it was a double exposure of a leaf over the trees! It's the way the branches are lit from behind and very straight; they look like veins in a leaf.

    Wonderful photo! thumb.gifthumb.gif

Glad you like the processing Craig. I find myself amazed how often I turn to this style of PP. :D

Mary Kim, I think the even over cast skies allowed for the clean white when I boosted the white
side of levels. That coupled with addition of hue/saturation to taste and then off to virtual photographer
for the "Orton" like effect. So in short I didn't have to do anything fancy to get the nice white. It was
pretty much already there. Just a couple of small PP pushes brought it out.

Thats weird Jack. At first I didn't get what you meant but I see what you mean now. Interesting your
seeing it to even point it out. For as much time as I spent on this image I missed that detail
entirely and I'm sensitive to the 666 notion in those things I'm exposed to.

Thank you Lee. Nice of you to say. I've yet to actually try a double exposure effect with any of my
photos. Your initial "seeing" it with this shot gives me the motivation to try it on the image. thumb.gif
    Appreciate your mentioning it.
