Welcome to Round #85 of the Dgrin Mini-Challenges.
This challenge is open to any Dgrin member. It will run from now, Friday November 6, 11.00am EST time, to Friday November 20, 11.00am EST (2 weeks).
The topic ready for your interpretation: "It takes two!" *Please read the Guidelines below carefully and fully.
Your Judge:
- NeilL (Neil)
What this challenge is about:
It's about the power of two!
It's about those photos which capture a moment of achievement, a moment of completion, of satisfaction, of triumph, of fulfillment - a moment which could only have happened as a result of the combined input of two people!
It could be a moment in situations romantic, nurturing, or supporting. In sport or art performance or play. At home, at work, in everyday life, on the street, in crisis, having fun, by chance. It could be a small moment or a big moment, but it must be a significant moment for both people. It's the significance of that moment to both people I want your photo to make me feel.
Life is full of 'em. Ferret 'em out of the shoebox! Hunt 'em down in the attic! Ransack your hard drive. Get out and shoot 'em fresh!
Have fun, and come back to warm our hearts! :thumb:lust:barb
*Guidelines:
1. The entrant must be the sole photographer of the entry.
2. Enter 1-3 photos and put them in a single post. You can edit or swap out your entries as often as you like, up to the deadline.
3. Either embed your image in the thread or, if you must, supply a link to it. Keep in mind, however, most people don't want to click to open photos hosted elsewhere (eg on your website).
4. Try to resize your photos prior to posting so they're sized appropriately for viewing without having to scroll (~800 pixels on the longest side works best.)
5. Give each image you enter a title.
6. Don't be hesitant! Just do it! Be in it and share!
7.Also, especially non-contestants:
Feel free to share your thoughts and reactions to the entries which excite you. Enjoy discussion with members about their images. This is not just an entry thread, but a thread open for the participation of anyone who would like to contribute, in a way appropriate to the spirit and purpose of the Mini-Challenges.

I will likely have to shoot fresh--I've been digging in my photo box and nothing--Is my life so empty that I have no touching moments with two people ?

Come on, DGrinners! Build this challenge into a great documentary of "the power of two moments" you have captured.
Thanks to the entrants so far, and heart-warming hunting to the rest of you!

I like how you only see my husband's hand in this shot--I hope it shows a tender moment, walking hand in hand--protective, company, sweet, father-daugher stroll. Takes two to walk hand in hand.

Two dancers getting ready for the Hispanic Day Parade in NYC (10/09). They were taking turns putting glitter on each others back, a little team work, a little shared joke between them before the big moment.

My sister and her daughter, sharing a moment--You definately need two people for a tickle session, can't hardly tickle yourself. There are few things that make me smile as much as a child getting tickled.

Tatiana,
#3 is really WOW!!!
It's just awesome and touching and a real slice of life. A daughter's help (I'm assuming daughter anyway).
I can't stop looking at all the details, the woman's too tight skirt, the little girl in her underwear, the little girl on the rooftop with not much of a ledge, the fact that she's actually helping, the colorful clothing, the living conditions, the blue skies---So much to look at!
I am enjoying this round very much and all the entries, everyone is adding wonderful images.

Edit: wrong photo (I thought you were talking about the wedding photo!) Anyway, that is Lady and she HATES having her picture taken. I am only ever able to get side view pics of her. She looks so distressed when I bring the camera out. Our other basset Oliver however is a ham. He is very interested in what is in that shiny round thing....oops that bumped my nose. Lots of lens cleaning going on when I take pics of him (see avatar.) Oh, and I can send a pawprint signed photo release right away if need be!
