Reenactment started early

This time I came to the camp on Friday to catch up some setup action and also experiment with a new technique for the night shots. You'll be the judges if it worked:

#1: This is actually a "fire-by-fire" action. i.e. the squad members fired one after another:

Gory details: Canon 5D2 + EF 24-105L, ISO 400, f/8, IS off, tripod, manual focus, bulb exposure. A few (very minor) tweaks in ACR and PS.

    That is a cool shot... Nik........ Black Powder makes for a big muzzle flash.....and as I remember... a rather distinctive odor......:D azzaro

    Howdy Nik,

    Wonderful shot and subject, really love all the muzzle blasts and even the cap explosion.

    Really a great look into the past, you have to admire the Re-enactor's for their dedication and hard work.

    Can't wait to see more from your outing.
