Need CP Filter Advise

Sorry for the newbie question, but I am in the market for a CP filter for my 62mm Ziess lens. I have used Ritz camera filters in the past, but was wondering if a nice BW or Hoya filter warrants the extra cost? I know that I am the limiting factor in the quality of the photos, but I am slowly purchasing better quality componets in the hope that the quality of my products increases.

If you think that I should go with a particular filter, please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Phil

Yes, in my testing Hoya HMC and B+W filters consistently outperform store brand and cheap filters (Kodak, Tiffen, etc.)

Both are very good companies and, while B+W often test as best, the Hoya HMC sometimes tests better but always close to the B+W.

B+W Kaesemann are considered among the best "manufactured quality" of all filters.

http://www.2filter.com/ is an excellent source for filters with very fair pricing and good information.
