Only way I can get bird pictures is to bribe them...taken through the window.
There are two beautiful parrots that call in almost every day, but the instant they see me at the back door or at the window they take off.
However the thousand sparrows that see me put the seeds out could care less if I am there or not but I want the parrots to stay so I can try and get at least one shot...........the resident Magpie is not afraid of me and eats out of my hand, and.........lately I see my new little plants are in flower and I saw some little honey eaters come in to eat from the flowers whoooohoooo!!!!
So far I have not been able to photograph them because they just take off.
Well if shooting them from your window is the only way to do it then enjoy it its wonderful just to see the little birds even if you cant capture them

Cool shots. I wish we'd get small birds at our feeder :cry
I too have a bird feeder (a big one!) but the only problem is that the birds empty it everyday, usually onto the grass, and the yard now needs harvesting
We get Brush wattle birds (honey eaters), galahs, kookaburras, magpies, eastern rosellas, crested pigeons and the occassional black cockatoo at the feeder and it becomes a flurry of feathers as each one scares the other off as they approach.
